| Objectives | The scheme aims at supplementing the resources of State Governments to enable them to contribute to the share capital of cooperative sugar factories so as to expedite the project implementation. | |
| Salient features | Under the scheme, assistance is extended for investment loan for share capital participation in new cooperative sugar mills, term loan assistance to the existing cooperative sugar mills for undertaking modernization, expansion and diversification projects. | |
| Pattern of assistance | Financial assistance is given to NCDC as loans for passing on the same to the cooperative sugar mills through Stare Governments. | |

| Procedure to apply | Cooperative Societies and their Federations may formulate suitable proposal in the prescribed formats available with State Cooperation Department and in the Regional Offices of NCDC. National/regional level federations are to apply directly to the NCDC Head Office at New Delhi. Other societies apply to NCDC through Registrar of Coop. Societies of the concerned State Govt. | |
