| Objectives | The main objectives of this scheme are: (i) to enhance the standards of research activities, (ii) to improve the analytical ability for policy formulation, (iii) to adopt the latest methodologies and (iv) to organize workshops and seminars with a view to disseminate the latest information and improve the skills/techniques of the personnel involved in the compilation of agricultural statistics. |
| Salient Features | (i) Organising National Workshop for improvement of Agriculture Statistics at All India Level. (ii) Improving infrastructure/inputs for compilation of Agriculture Statistics. (iii) The scheme is operated at the Headquarter of Directorate of Economics & Statistics. |
| Pattern of Assistance | This is a Plan scheme with 100% Grants-in-Aid to be provided by the Ministry of Agriculture. |
| Eligibility | Since this scheme is being implemented by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics itself at its Headquarters at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, the question of eligibility does not arise. |
| Procedure to apply | The operation of the scheme is decided exclusively by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics based on its decision of prioritisation of the objectives of the scheme. |
