Estimation of quarterly production of crops for use by CSO in the compilation of quarterly Gross Domestic product for providing it to the International Monetary Fund under the Special Data Dissemination Standards |
| Salient Features | Production of crops in a quarter is estimated using the season-wise production estimates in conjunction with other ancillary information such as crop calendar etc. The state-wise crop calendar is updated for improving on the estimates. The quarterly estimates of crop production are supplied to CSO every quarter |
