| Salient Features | 1. Participation in national and international exhibitions. Dissemination of new technology among farming community for its acceptance and adoption and providing assistance to State Agricultural Universities & organize Kisan Melas. 2. Kisan Melas are organized by State Agricultural Universities in remote tribal/otherwise agriculturally backward areas. 3. Use of Print Media in technology transfer is being implemented through State Agricultural Universities. 4. The Video films are produced by the Ministry of Agriculture. The films are produced either by Directorate of Extension or by State Department of Agriculture or Agricultural Universities for publicity and awareness among farming community. 5. National Productivity Awards are given to various organizations or institutions in recognition of their excellent contribution towards agricultural development. |

| Implementation Status | 1. Two Kisan Melas organized by each Agricultural University one each in Kharif season & Rabi, Approx. 60 Kisan Melas yearly. 2. Annual target is 15-20 films. 3. Awards are given in 15 subjects to Public Sector Undertakings including Dairy, Horticulture, Fisheries. |
